Last Saturday saw esker performing with the Boats for their annual Christmas gig. The gig was hosted by the excellent Forest of Sound promoters and was held at Trinity Church in Leeds.

It was a truly delightful evening held in a amazing place.

esker's getting a bit spaced out!

esker has decided to create a myspace account to keep up with the kids.

It's all a bit quiet over there at the moment, but you can listen to a demo version of The Grand Goodbye. A collaboration with Mookid, which is set to feature as the final track on the New Celestial Engine compilation due out later this year.

esker's an eager beaver.

esker was so excited about playing her first gig of 2006 that she even volunteered to go on first to get the ball rolling. Joshua Brooks was really busy and the new songs seemed to go so well that esker nearly fell off her chair!

esker's feeling toasty!

esker loves the winter and has been seen swaying by the fire with her friends and family.
Thanks to everyone who came to Matt and Phreds to see esker perform with The Boats at the beginning of December. It was a truly delightful night.

esker has also been busy writing, knitting and writing some more for her debut album and soon there will be a couple of tracks here for you to listen to.

However if the suspense is killing you, you can hear a demo of Mookid's 'The Grand Goodbye’, which features vocals from esker. The finished version is currently topping up some air miles between Mexico and Manchester, so there is no release date yet.

esker's friends are sailing.

The boats are long long friends of esker. Their new album "We made it for you" was found in a box on the beach.

The album was made out of love on a saved orphaned piano. Rusty, out of tune strings that have been beaten by dust covered hammers. The vibrations of its soul have been captured for one last time.

"We Made It For You" is an album you'll want to fully submerge in again and again.

esker features on the new Giardini Di Mirò Release.

The first EP entitled "North Atlantic Treaty of Love, Part 1" will feature an amazing cover version of Smog's "Blood Red Bird" and an instrumental song called "The Perfect Trick".

The b-side contains a remix of by "The Swimming Season" by Hood and a beautiful rework of "Last Act In Baires" by The Sea /The Boats featuring vocals from esker.

The 12" is released by the German label 2nd rec and comes in a beautiful, silkscreened cover sleeve and is strictly limited to 555 numbered copies only.

esker is currently sparkling in the studio.

Recording of the new compilation by Celestial Engine is nearly finished. The CD will feature all the best Manchester acts and has input from The Earlies, Sam Hammond, Isobel Heyworth and Mookid plus loads more. esker is recording two new tracks, one of which is a collaboration with Palo Alto's Mookid and is called 'The Grand Goodbye'.

The compilation is planned for release in the new year.

Friday 8th July saw esker perform a lively warm up gig for the Wired night at the Star & Garter, Manchester. The night featured The Whyers, The Exports and the hotly tipped The Harrisons had everyone tapping their toes.
